Arturo is a teenager who plays with the free spirit of the younger kids he hangs around in his small coast village. When a violent situation disrupts the seemingly idyllic atmosphere, with its suggestion of corrosive machismo, Arturo bravely takes the bold step of coming out to his parents and ask their permission to dress with women\u2019s clother.<\/p>\n

The Chicago International Film Festival was right to award its Gold Hugo Award for best documentary of the year to Bruno Santamar\u00eda Razo\u2019s work: one of the most luminous, dreamy, empathetic and original films in this year\u2019s selection.<\/p>\n
