Based on the Mayan creation myth, according to which the gods created the first humans from corn, artist Isaac Espinoza Hidrobo explores how the Western perspective can be transformed to see our connection not in the equality of all, but in our differences. Because “it is not about you, it’s about all of us.” Maiskind is a transdisciplinary collaboration with various artists (dancers, musicians, visual artists) and art & dance enthusiasts around the meaning of identity, empathy and togetherness, reclaiming public spaces in the city of Cologne.
