The opening ceremony of the 23rd edition of Zinegoak will be hosted by Nerea Arriola and Kepa Errasti. There will also be a performance by the bertsolari Aissa Intxausti and a musical interlude by Jimena Amarillo. During the ceremony, South African filmmaker and activist Bev Ditsie will receive the Zinegoak 2026 Honourary Award in recognition of her career. The event will conclude with the Spanish premiere of the Official Selection feature film Niñxs (2025), Mexican director Kani Lapuerta’s first feature.
