Intimately chronicles the life and music of Slave to Sirens, a metal band of five youngsters whose growing fame is set against the backdrop of the Lebanese revolution. Its members struggle with friendship, sexuality and consequences of the revolution as their music serves as a refuge for Beirut’s youth culture. The complicated relationship of the band’s founders threatens the very structure of the band. However, they encounter an even greater threat, the criminalization of homosexuality in Lebanon. Despite the challenges, the gang persists in trying to create a revolution of their own: to live their truth.
