I am tracking the footsteps of Isidro Velázquez, Argentina’s last gaucho rebel and, as the search for lost time is always erratic, am I really following in the footsteps of this fugitive from bourgeois justice? Or am I following in my footsteps, in my heritage? I travel, I search for a disappeared film, I search in film archives for something; I search for films, also for a family, one of the living, one of the dead; I search for a revolution, for their bodies, for some justice; I search for my disappeared mother and father, their remains, their names, what they left in me.
